5" exhaust dent supposed to be there?

Just got my 5" exhaust i ordered from farm boys diesel. It has a smash in the pipe that connects to the 4" downpipe and has the 5" outlet. Talked to somebody who said that it is supposed to be a dent there to clear the cross member. Is this true? I want to start installing it but want to make sure i don't have a dent thats not supposed to be there. Thanks for the help

I didn't get mine from them and it didn't have that dent and it has a horrible rattle sometimes at idle.

My 4" FBD system does not have a dent and that pipe sets less than 1/8" away from the bolt heads on that cross member and also slightly rubs the trans heat shield on the other side. I can't believe that it doesn't rattle but there must not be much movement down there. A bigger pipe would require a dent for clearance, heck, if I had known how close the 4" kit would be I might have dented it myself for a little more clearance.

Ya Gus really is a good guy to deal with. I couldn't believe how fast he got the exhaust to me. I emailed him asking when it would ship out from his place and that same morning it was already on my doorstep. Anybody needing a quality exhaust for one helluva good price give him a call.
