need some advice for mod

Ok, I have a TW chip.. stock, econ, tow, heavy tow, street, and extreme. I installed a BTM and did the DIY intake till I get the Ford setup. Truck is an '02 AT, 4x4. I know I am limited due to the rods. I am thinking of either stage 1 injectors or a water meth injection. Truck isnt a daily driver. I mainly use it in the summer for towing up to 15K pounds with lots of mountains with up to a 12% grade for 4 or 5 miles. Also use it for going on long trips. Or, should I just leave it as it is? What say you?

Gauges!!!!!!!!!!! i have stage 2s in mine and I like them but with towing up the grades you do, they might cause your EGTs to get to high. Mine on flats will hit 1200*

you can safely put stage 1's with no problem.. you can even put stage 2's but your going to have to have them tuned down... yoru going to have to step up to a larger turbo as well, upgraded HPOP would be good as well...

unless your willing to spend some serious coin i would leave it stock...

I have the gauges. I havent towed anything yet so I dont know what the temps will be. The first tractor show I o to down over the mountain is the beginning of july. Thats when I will find out about the ex. temps.

Is your 1200* temp before or after the turbo?

Raul, would I need a new turbo and HPOP with the stage 1's?

Also would the h2o/meth help keep down EGT's while towing?

i would get a new pump like the adrenalin from dieselsite.. its very reasonably priced and will work well with your stock injectors all the way up to stage 2's. as it is right now your stock pump cant keep up with the demand so adding the stage 1's and it will be starving them...

i recommend a turbo upgrade.. but you absolutely dont "need" to have it... H20 will def help with towing... i would upgrade to a 7gal tank so you dont have to refill it that often...

hope that helps bud

My suggestion would be a bigger tranny cooler too. Long grades with 15K. HEAT.

Already got that covered.... 6.0 cooler. And hey.. What kind of transmission shop owner would I be without installing a better cooler?

In all seriousness though. Before I did all the mods, my trans temp never went over 180* even towing up the mountains on a hot summer day. So I hope to be in the same range now with all the upgrades.... I hope.

my vote is a turbo right now... ball bearing garret or something. Then you can do the oil pump... then some sticks later. I like hybrids myself not for everyone though.
