Lessons Learned Please Replacing Turbo Shroud

I am replacing the turbo shroud, performing the CCV Mod and installing the HPO X-Over this weekend.
For those that have done this:

What would you like to have known before you started?
What kicked your A$$?
What was easy?
What could you have done easier?
What prep work would have made it easier?

NO PIECE OF INFORMATION WOULD BE TO SMALL, LET IT ALL OUT

Thanks for your help,
Ron

Nope, I have been talking with Dennis at ITP and it can be done without pulling turbo. I am afraid if I pullit it will start leaking somewhere. I have a used one on the way also, i am going to have it rebuilt the put it in the truck with the shroud, but until then I need to stop the surging when i tow my trailer.

make sure you have a 6" wobble extension and patience to get the bolts out, the most problemsom one is the bottom one closest to the drivers cab, there is little clearance between it and the hpo rail

I have a 5/16 swivil socket, that is about 3/4 inch long, socket and swivel combined, Dennis said that was perfect. I haveaccess to a 30-40K dollar Snapon tool chest, not much that they sell that is not in there

Great about X-over mod, i am really looking forward to making the rattlecan noise stop, nice to a point then, unnerving, wondering if something is wrong
