Question about GT38R Noise?

Ok, Got it installed....Came apart way easier than it all went back together, but overall not bad...Took about 12 hours for all of it. Doesn't seem to be much faster, but does have more in the middle and definitely makes more noise, gets about 27-28psi on the stock sticks. I didn't expect it to be faster since I figure the factory injectors are about maxed out, but more like a step towards 400+hp. I only have 1 question. I know these are supposed to be a loud turbo...only I was expecting the really high pitched turbo noise. Mine is only really loud (at least inside the cab) between about 3 and 10psi and it is a lower pitch sound, is this normal? I struggle to come up with a good way to describe it, but high speed gear noise kind of comes to mind....llike reverse on a manual. As soon as I figure out how I will post a video with the noise.

I know I look like a complete idiot, but with the price of one of these things I want to make sure everything is good to go. Now I need to get to the track and see if it is any faster.

as long as you aren't leaking oil, you are fine.

Huh, didn't see this before I posted. Ok, sounds good to me! I think I have checked for oil leaks about 50 times since I cranked it. Just making sure.

Yeah, I'll be needing a new gauge eventually too. I thought I might need it with this turbo upgrade since I was getting about 28 or 29 psi with my stocker and it defueling. I guess the 1.15 housing kept the numbers down just enough.

You need to take your intake tube off and check the turbo shaft for endplay, the compressor wheel could be rubbing on the housing under decel due to too much endplay (worn turbo bearings), you do not want to drive it like that if this is the case, get a rebuild kit before you cause more damage it's cheap and easy fix on the stock turbo, plenty of treads and vid on here to rebuild one if you need it.
