edge evolution custom tuning
i have an edge evolution, the dash mounted one that has the gauges. i have made a custom tune i made but its basic, i just turned up the fuel, adjusted the idle, raised the speed limiter....i want more
i hear timing is the key to unlocking real power. i want to get the most out of it before i get it sold and get a DP. for those of you who have this and have made good custom tunes, or just know your stuff, can you tell me what i can change to get the most i can. i am in florida and i dont have the truck but if i can help, telling you what settings i can change, i will when i get home thursday or friday. please help! thanks! jake |

PHP can put custom tunes on the evo2. You have to pay for a firmware upgrade and a case switch and then pay per tune. I was debating on that but ended up going with a custom ts chip. I like being able to pull in my 70 tune and if gets a little too hot, reach down and flip it to the 50 tune that is pretty much safe all the time.
the evo2 takes about 2 to 3 minutes to change tunes and that is not too cool. I have forgotten to change from the hot tune to the tow tune a few times just to pull over and have to wait for it to program. |
