Which Injectors for an Early 99 PSD?

Just wanted to get some insight on what to buy for injectors for my early 99. Seems like there is a ton of information on 99.5+ but a bit more difficult with the earlier trucks. I have basic mods: Intake, exhaust, custom tunes....and bunch of small stuff

your truck has 120cc AB code injectors.

What are you wanting to do? Power level?

Well the truck is a daily driver so I need to keep it halfway reliable...someday I'd like to be at 500rwhp but right now that's out of the question. So I guess I'd like to make as much power as I can keeping the truck reliable without making more supporting mods ie. Bigger turbo to support added fuel. Maybe 75-100hp not really sure what is reasonable.

I have the 180cc stage 2s. I like them alot. If you get Single shots(your truck now has split shots) you can gain mileage with them. downside, is they are louder. My truck got lots louder when i put em in. But I like it, to each his own.

I get good power out of mine. havent dynoed em yet, but its noticeable. If you run a hot tune, you will spool over 30 PSI at WOT with the 2's though. You dont have to keep your foot in it, and they wil do good on a stock turbo. But the good thing, is a D66 from beans is a cheaper drop in replacement(only one for the early 99 thats a drop in) thats great for those injectors. Stage ones or twos IMO.

500hp is very reliable.

You need give a realistic budget number for me to work with.

Would I have to upgrade my HPOP with the stage 2 180's? and just curious when you say it gets louder is that exhaust noise or motor noise or a bit of both? Thanks for the replies guys!

I have upgraded to a used 17* hpop, but they ran well with my stocker.

You can also check out dieselsite.com they have an adreanilin HPOP that is proven itself very nicely, and its less than $500.


Well, the motor mainly got louder. the injector rattle and such like that.
I dont guess the exhaust got any louder.
