Upgraded injectors??????????

Well as I thought I need to by 3 new injectors for my '01. Is there anyone who makes performance injectors for this truck? At 435.00 a piece I might as well upgrade the whole set since it will only be a few hundred more. Thanks in advance!

You may want to do a little web surfing with Alliant Injectors as your target. These are new not rebuilt injectors made by a company that manufacturers injectors for Caterpillar. I know for a fact that you can buy a complete set of 8 for a little over $1800! That includes shipping and handling.

Also as Stumpy stated, we have plenty of supporting vendors here that should be able to hook you up. $435 each for standard injectors is a ripoff. I think the Ford dealers only charge about $300 each.

You can usually get them (Alliant) for around $200 each IIRC if you don't go to the Ford parts counter otherwise you'll be looking at 350-400 bucks. *after core charge
You may want to go this route, and only replace the 3 bad injectors.

Check with the vendors, they should be able to set you up if you want to replace all 8...

Surprising you have 3 inj go bad on an 01 - might want to check into possible reasons for that before you go handing out your hard earned money!!!!!

I took it to Ford today, they didnt have a scan too that showed which injectors werent working properly. They had a breakout box to kill each injector individually, the 3 the tech narrowed it down to cyl's 1, 5, and 7. He said to first change the oil again, it looked bad. ( I changed it 2 nights ago.) So could bad oil could cause the injectors to perform poorly. The previous owner only ran Moble1, I switched it to Rotella. does this make any sence???

another thing to try is a product lucas makes. I have changed the fuel filter and filled it with this stuff and i fixed it believe it or not. Know more than it costs its worth a try. The injectors were so bad it barely ran and after we did that it was running smooth.

Dont rule out injectors from IH. I had Ford ones priced at $300 - $350 for my 96 that I had, and I got one from local big truck repair place for $180.
