Mounting the knob is your choice, I'd put it somewhere that is easy to reach, yet not maybe noticable to everyone getting in and out of your truck. To each his own I suppose. Good luck!!!

I stuck mine in the area where the 4wd knob is normally found on the auto hub models. I have a floor shifter, and it left all that open space on the dash...made sense to me!

Wow, I didn't realize how dirty my truck was getting until I saw that pic!
Oh by the way, I don't think there is any real big performance difference between the Stage I and II intakes. I think the only difference is the filter mount/housing/whatever that the filter comes with....AFE's site shoud be able to help out with the answer....

Hey '99smokin---- How do you like that TS performance 6 position chip? It plegs/piggybacks on the computer correct? I was thinking of swapping my Banks big hoss out for the ts to gain 20 more HP. Let me Know.

Had k@n fipk kit and just bought an afe stage 2 and there is a difference truck had a little more go, installed edge juice with attitude and edge evolution and 4 inch turbo back. When i got on it my engine light would come on with the k@n filter but has never came on with the afe stage 2, I think it flows a lot better to tell you the truth. Would definately recommend the stage 2.

Hey RJacks I love the TS chip. But I honestly would just keep what you have since you're just gaining 20 horse. You decide! I will say it blows quite a bit of black smoke on the max setting....and it helps the tranny a lot, if you get on it suddenly you can feel the torque converter lockup upon acceleration...

99smokin----
A couple of reasons I want to switch, 20hp more is a good start. Other is with the added fuel I can run more nitrous. And the TS chip can do a little more of what I want with the tranny. A guy from TS told me he can take my top speed limiter off and keep my tranny shifting before it hits the rev limiter. Right now my Big Hoss is causing the engine to bounce off the rev limiter before it shifts when I make full throttle runs. It only started to do this once the top speed limiter was removed.

u know....there are not many guys on here i think could benifit from this, but if your already running NOS......you may want to look into the big oil system...i got a lot of info from a guy today and the biggest downside is motor longevity.....probably less than 100k after the mod...but running NOS in a diesel is already gonna shorten the life....and you would have the fuel you were looking for then........Just a though.....
