Superchips=Stupidchips What programmer or chip is the best for 7.3 psd

hey i have a 99 power stroke 7.3 super duty i currnetly have a superchips installed that was a mistake and a waste of money. I was wondering what the best tuner or chip out there is for the 7.3 i would like one that makes my truck go fast and blow lots of black smoke

I have the DP Tuners F5 chip. I love it and can get plenty of smoke!

Is your truck an early 99 or late?

And what do you not like about your SCT?

Many people like custom chips, but I can't tell you personally. I am looking to replace my Microtuner, only because I'm going to upgrade injectors. I actually can't complain about my SCT.

A lot of guys seem to like the Edge Evolution as well. That's what I plan to run in mine.

dp gets my vote The edge juice is not very strong unless you stack it with the evolution with the 2 of them your almost at 1000 bucks Dp and a set of pllar gauges 650 bucks

Well i guess superchips isnt so bad but i dont get much power differance no fuel economy when i baby the truck. And very little black smoke on the top setting. I was looking for somthing that made my truck blow lots of black smoke, and if you tune down and you are nice to the truck that you would get 2 or more better mpgs is what i was looking for also a chip that is good for towing power without raising egts really high. i checked out ts performance that looks good bully dog powerpup that looks good and dp-tuner that looks good. i was wondering if anyone has one of these chips/programmer. i would like to know how much black smoke it blows how much fuel economy when your nice to the truck but also have some pulling power thank you

My old work truck is a 2000 Crew Cab 4x4 with an auto. I can completely smoke an intersection my TS chip set on 140 hp. I like the chips better than the programmers as well. Drove many a powerstrokes and the newest is an 06 with a Triple Dog and monitor. When I find something better for it, the Triple Dog will be for sale. It is very good but like the chips.



2000 Crew Cab SRW 4x4, Ts performance chip, Air Raid intake, Banks 4" stainless exhaust (Turbo back), Banks Power Elbow, ATS ported housing, Banks compressor wheel, Triple Pillar Guages (oil pres, oil temp, and tranny temp), and a Bully Dog Outlook to monitor and record boost and pre and post EGT's.

My Vote is DP or TS, I had a TS and it was great, but I think you would be very pleased with either one.

PS, I moved this to the 99-2003 section for ya since you dont have a OBS truck, you have the SD truck.
