Yup, your right. I don't have the smoke setting, just the 140 extreme, and it puts out enough smoke so people notice. And the difference in the tunes for tow and econo, as you said MartyB, is more for towing... shift points...torque... lower EGTs under load...etc. they are two different tunes. The econo is set up more for running unloaded, and fuel mileage. Hope this helps guys.

Newbe to the forum, but an old timer to the game. I would also like a new programer / ECM, buy my main goal is fuel millage and more towing power (when I need it).

Hey Glock Guru, Welcome to Powerstroke.org, as you can see everybody has an opinion on what they like and don't like, thats the fun part of the forum. I like to hear about other peoples experiences with the available products, and make my decisions from there. Look around the threads, check out the search option at the top of the pages, and anything you can't find, just ask, somewhere out here someone will have the answer for you. Have fun

Hey i was wondering if anyone knows if this is a computer code for a super duty i was just wondering if this is a code or not XC35. i was also wondering some settings that you guys would reccomend on the dp tuner without racking the price up maybe 5or 6 settings.i would like one for towing like cars on a trailer that adds extra hp and torque for pulling superchips doesnt give enough also a few settings for heavier towing and a settomg to blow black smoke. is 140 to much hp on a truck that is stock besides intake and 5 inch exhaust. i wouldnt run it on 140 real long proly long enough for blowing past people and blowing lots of black smoke.showing off lol. i would also like a setting for economy. i was also wondering if you guys would go with a boost annihaltor. or not is that going to cause to much boost on a stock truck besides 5 inch exhaust and and intake. is it goin to blow one of my intercooler lines off or not would you reccomend it. thanks a bunch

ITP Diesel, L.L.C.

The link above will take you to ITPs PCM id page.

DP-Tuner Multi-Position Chip

The second link will take you to ITPs DP tuner page.

The pcm code is 3 letters and then a number, It can be found on the drivers door, if it hasn't been repainted or washed off, and on the pcm itself. Good luck.

A.nd it would be a good idea to pick up a boost anhilator at the same time, I'm hitting27-28lbs of boost now, and it will defuel at 22-24 lbs without it. It's a 0 out of 10 for difficulty, and takes about 10 min. to install, and that includes the self patting on the back time that is needed to make some of these mods work correctly hahaha.

Thanks for your guyses opinions. I think i will go with the 40 hp 80 econ and 140 extreme and the overboost annihaltor. Um do you think that the 80 econ will work still good for towing im talking light towing compared to the 80 tow in shouldnt make much of a deal should it. I also pulled my pcm out last nite and got the number 4 digit one off of it thanks for the info on that. and is 27 28 pounds of boost still work alright like i wont have trouble with overboost will i
