Commander as an EGT? Is it safe to rely on solo?

Ive noticed alot of people with commanders also have an EGT gauge with it's own probe, i was wondering whats wrong with using the factory probe that the commander taps into, im not rich here lol. I'd appreciate if someone could quickly explain, or even a quick yes or no or whether or not i can use the commander as my solo source for monitoring my EGT's

Is the Thermo Couple a seperate probe you need to make the Commander work? I thought it has plug and play EGT's capability. BTW do either of you guys know where the stock exhaust probe gets it's reading from?

Their is no EGT probe on your truck from the factory. Ford does not read EGTs.

Does the commander come with the probe, or is it a separate unit? Im positive I've asked quadzilla vendors if the Commander had the ability out of the box to read EGT's and they both said yes. eBay of course though, that could explain why.

Yes the Quadzilla Commander comes with everything you need to read EGTs. Why would you buy performance parts on Ebay?

LOL, i only buy on ebay because I've saved hundreds so far and haven't had a problem yet, these guys are authorized dealers just like you. They were right after all, the commander does have everything out of the box to read EGT's. Thanks dpp.

Just my personal experience, but everything I've looked at on from dealers on ebay, I've found the same stuff and equal or lower prices through our sponsors on here... Plus if you buy from somebody you know, you're likely to get better customer service. I've done business with 3 different sponsors on here, had great experiences with them all... Just my opinion and I know everybody's different. Just thought I'd throw that out there.
