Exclamation 7.3 SMOKE SWITCH !!!

Did anybody ever heard or try this ? or just have any ways to make a 7.3 blow so black smoke ?

The smoke switch tricks your pcm into thinking you have full boost so it pumps in fuel. Just take your 5volt reference wire to your map and run a wire taped into that into your cap to one side of a switch. then take and splice a wire into your return (signal) wire on your map and run it to the other side of the switch in the cab. when the switch is on it will send a full 5v to your pcm and make it think you have full boost so it will dump in fuel. its really easy and it doesnt hurt anything if you do it right

We will need crayons, lots of them. Maybe some construction paper too!

If you send a full 5v to the map signal in the PCM then it will throw a CEL and defuel because it thinks your overboosting. Plus the usable range of the map sensor is ~.5v to ~4.5v, the upper and lower .5v is a buffer so you can detects shorts(i.e. short to ground would be less than .5v and Ref. Voltage short would be 5v)

Why would people be buying and installing boost foolers if they could show the MAP sensor full voltage without defueling?

And it surely doesn't work on OBS trucks because the MAP sensor works on Hz(Hertz) frequency instead of Analog voltage.

I'm glad you spoke up. Something didn't seem right but I am still learning about this stuff so I wasnt sure. From what I have heard, when you reach max boost, the computer says 'no more' and cuts your fuel.

So there is probably no way to make a 7.3 smoke other than having a chip in smoke mod lol !
