Newb question about BANKS removal

Hi , I had no luck in my general post question so thought I'd condense it here.

I have a banks ottomind chip and trans command. If u a DP style chip do I remove both the chip from the Ecu and the trans command?

I bought the truck with them installed so I'm a bit newb as there removal and replacement.

Any help on this and best chip/controller is appreciated.

F350 7.3 dually 2wd.

You will need to remove them both to install a new chip. I sold my trans command for $150. It was new in box because I have a standard. I sold my banks chip for $125. I'm not sure how to remove the trans command but the chip is easy. First thing you do is take your keys and put them in the house. If you keys are in the ignition when you pull the chip you will fry your PCM. Look down by your ebrake and you will see your PCM. The case should be modified to pull the chip out without pulling the whole PCM. Just grab it and pull it out. Then your done. I suggest the hydra from php for the chip. If funds are not there just pick up a 6 position chip from riff raff.

My truck had the banks chip and trans command on it when i bought it, When i switched to my F8 chip I didn't feel like messing with removing all the wiring for the trans command unit so i just installed the bypass plug and left it all there. No issues and is running great with custom tunes from DP and Dyno Proven. I wouldn't give that trans command unit to anyone, let alone try to sell it.

Ts performance told me I could run their chip with the transcommand. I too bought a 2001 F350 with the Banks power setup on it. I guess the previous owner installed it not long after he bought the truck new.
