Hydra Chip

I am looking at a Hydra Chip for my early 1999 F-350. I just have a CAI a 4" exhaust so I was thinking I could get away with just getting the pre-loaded tunes for $375. Or would it be worth it get the PHP tunes for $425? And would this even work on an e99? Also, where is everyone mounting these? Mine is 2wd for now and I was thinking about putting it where the electric 4wd controls would be and mounting it flush? Can I put tunes on it with my Mac or can you only use a PC? Any opinions and pictures would be much appreciated.

I would suggest sending PM to
hucorey as he is selling them and does custom tunes. He is a regular on this forum

It works fantastic on my early 99. I bought mine from Alligator Performance and the tunes are good. Even if you buy from PHP it is the same. I did buy a few custom tunes from Tony Wildman and from PHP but the ones that come with the chip are good. I mounted mine on the right side of steering wheel. Even with my stock engine and pcm the performance is good

I mounted the optional USB cable to right of OBll conector

They come with access to PHP's online library regardless. The Hydra is $375. If you would like, it is $50 more for Powerstruck Performance Tunes with purchase of the Hydra. Normally they are $125 for a standard set of custom stock files alone. I have mine mounted on the left side of the steering wheel only because on the right side I have toggle switches for my snowplow.

If you have any other questions please feel free to ask. With PM or sales@cncfabricationllc.com

The 375 includes the php tunes. Some companies like TW, power-struck, and Swamps offer the hydra with their tunes on it for an additional cost but you still get the php tunes also. As for the mounting location I mounted mine where the 4x4 selector switch would go since I have the floor shifted 4x4.
