4r100 manual shift

Other than the PCS controller which is expensive and seems complicated to use is there any way to make the 4r100 manually controlled? There is a company that makes a tap shiftier for the early Allison transmissions so they can be manually shifted I don't see why something like that can't be made for our transmissions since they are also electronically controlled. I have thought about doing a 6 speed conversion, but I like the auto better in some situations they are allot quicker 0-60 I would just like to be able to control it manually.

00 f250 ext. cab, lb, 4x4, 133,000, zf 6 speed,4 in lift, 315/75/16 Duck Commander Mts, php hydra, IAH delete, ccv mod, 6637 filter, auto meter gauges, scan guage 2, 4 in diamod eye straight pipe 6 in tip.

I would think that a chip tuner could work with you to make it full manual. best part about that would be having manual in whatever tune you need it, but retaining automatic shift in the daily driver tune.

PIS 175/80's, Van Turbo with EBPV, BD Billet Wheel
Lots of money spent at RiffRaff
Holley fuel pump, in tank mods, crappy riding leveling kit, DP-F6, 5 Gauges+Edge CS in dash, CB radio in Dash, over 100 goofy little mods
Still pretty slow, just less slow now.

The reason the PCS controller is so complicated is to avoid accidental downshifting to 5000 rpm, lockout of 3rd gear starts (cooks the tranny fast), torque converter lock up control, etc.

I think the Allison tranny is designed for optional manual control from the factory so it's just a matter of tapping switches into the existing controller. The ford PCM didn't bother to provision for something like that because it was never going to be a selling pointless for new trucks.
