I've heard you can go with both. I have heard that JW is a little easier to get a hold of however.

I've run two JW in different trucks and have a BTS tranny in current truck. I still have some very slight shifting issues that i am sure are probably tuning related , the JW cleaned the shifts up both times in the others. My vote would be a JW for sure. It should be on the list of must haves along with gauges , exhaust , and intake if looking at chipping IMO.

Sold 01 350 6" on 37's and mild mods, 00 X 4" on 35's, 02 f350 4" 35's molded from fan to drive shaft, ridin the 03 with nose conversion with 125k and counting upwards slowly.
Never had CNC on any of it, never will.
Take 3/4 of the info and recommendations on here with a grain of salt

I run a Johnny Lighting VB and it's been great and was cheaper and easier to get. The high HP Lightning guys run them. Jonothan at Dyno Proven told me that it tunes the same as the BTS and JW.

according to what i've read, if you get a bts valve body and your transmission packs it in, bts will discount a new transmission from them by the amount of one of their valve bodies if you're sending your core transmission to them.

seems like the best deal in case your transmission packs it in a few years from now and you decide to splurge on one of theirs.
