Yah, I have the 18K unit. It is the ICP half of what they call the Steroid-T now. The other half is a timing controller. I have had a superchips 1705 and a Diablo Predator stacked with the dfuser unit. I am inbetween computer mods and have been running with stock settings for a fuel mileage check. I was starting into a hill yesterday and reached down and flipped the switch, WOW. I forgot how much the change was. When I got mine, it was $50.00 on e-bay.

I have a little over 25k on mine. There a threads here about ways to make your own, either a permanent at one setting or with the potentiometer for fine tuning. I bought mine online for $50.00 delivered. With this system you can turn it off if you need too or switch between high and low on the fly with the potentiometer to adjust in between. It also enhances any chip or tuner you have or are planning to get. It is seat of the pants by it self.

Ramsmoker, just to let you know that with a custom chip the programing will do the exact same thing as the 18k mod.

Actually it doesn't. This is a stackable mod. I have one in both trucks of mine. This along with programming that is also adjustable on the fly is awesome for a multi purpose vehicle.

ummmm, i sure wouldnt' stack them.

all the programmers crank the pressure up. if you crank the pressure too high, you can actually effectively change the timing, and get cylinder pressures high enough to window your block.

of course if your tuner built your tunes to be stacked, then no worries. but to just simply stack them is pretty much voiding your tuners knowledge of keepign your engine in one piece.
mebbe you are running weak enough tunes it doesn't matter tho.

Cool defuser

Its just like any mod us daily drivers have. We don't run to the store with everything cranked tight. I sold my programmer for that very reason. Control is where its at for the daily driver. I own a Superduty and a Excursion. We could be drag racing Sunday. Grocery shopping Monday, Pulling the race trailer. Hauling stuff to the Dorm. Getting hay, you get the point. This is no different that having propane or nitrous. Its there when need it, off when you don't. Same with the hard chip, converter lock and exhaust brake. Performance toys for everyday driving.

Ram, wasn't saying your chip had it in there, merely informing that if someone was wanting a chip, that the tuner can program the same function into the chip program as the 18k mod and that way you wouldn't need 2 things to plug or wire into the truck, thats all.

It's just when I here 18K i think of as just that, a fixed system. Like a flash program nomatter how good its done is what it is. I like control to adjust for the situation at hand. There are many people here that run this with a DP or a TS. Ask any of them and you'll get the same answer. This is cheap HP and can be added in very small increments. Thats the heart of this mod.
