its way different...cause your motor will never become dependant on it...so its safer.....propane and NOS are no different than starting fluid as far as negative effects go....you use too much and the motor wants more to run right....and eventually it is dependant on it to run without smoking and doesnt run smooth without it...this mod is way safer than these two more expencive ones.......Marc

Talking defuser

Oh Marc, Thats funny. Years ago I had a couple of 8V92 Detroit's. In the winter they are tricky to get started without ether. We used to joke about the addiction. I thought we'd have to tie off it's intake and mainline the ether in.

The knob is used to fine tune the adjustments in each level, the furthur clockwise you turn it, the more power you get.

Cool defuser

Hi Doug, The defuser has nothing to do with cylinder preassure. This just holds the IPR hostage a little longer to raise the injection preassure. This is real cheap HP. You can leave it off or go from mild to wild. I have two trucks, three programmers and a TS flip chip. They all have there good and bad points but they all wake up with the defuser inline with them.

When does the power start to come on?

Not trying to take this thread hostage, but I thought I would keep all of the info in one spot. I have been looking at the 18K and steroid T, for those who have used it, when does the power start rolling on? I have tried a couple of different chips and tunners and they all start to make a noticiable difference around 18-1900 rpms. There was a custom chip (no labes trademarks on it) in my truck when I got it and it hits about 1400. I'm looking for something that gets going early so I don't have to rev the guts out of my truck.

Will this do that? thanks for the help fellas!!!!!!!!!!
