Hutch mod, now I'm not getting fuel

Hello,
So did the hutch mod with kit and inline fuel filter. First I could only measure to the top of umbrella where its clamped.( pick up foot was broken off). So i matched that measurement. (keep in mind I pulled box to access tank so everything is easily accessible) I also installed a shut off valves to each side of filter head. I double checked my flow directions on filter head (in from tank, out to fuel pump. The valve handles are in line with fuel line.( should be open then)
Cycled the key a few times won't start. Checked fuel pump fuse, I can hear fuel pump cycling when I turn the key. Still no fuel....What am I missing?

Did you pull the fuel filter out and see if fuel is coming into the bowl?

You may have forced the pickup foot into the bottom of the tank too hard and it can't such the fuel in.

I flipped the plastic lever behind bowl, cycled the ignition half a dozen times. Is there a overflow tube it should be expelling out of( to the ground or something,I have nothing)

Did you drain and drop the tank or pull the bed? If you dropped the tank how much fuel did you put back in?

Edit: reread saw you pulled bed. But still how much fuel is in tank?

2/3 of a tank approximately.

As mentioned earlier prime and than start truck with fuel drain open. Or pickup is to close to bottom of tank.
