I'm a Bilstein fan.

They take the "floaty" feeling away. No more continuos bouncing after hitting a bump.

I'm not a bilstein fan. Ran them for a few years and never liked the ride I got from them to be honest. I recently replaced them with Fox 2.0's. They're a lot better (but I'm not sure their 2x the cost was justifiable for the ride quality increase)

Since the op is getting some answers, I'd rather not start another shock thread.... So- my truck is a 2wd & needs new shocks. My previous truck was 4x4 and had bilsteins, they were pretty stiff. What's a shock that's better than stock but a tad softer than the bilsteins?

Well I'd say the best set of shocks for under $1000 would probably be Bilstein. 5160's with reservoirs
