Water Meth

I was wondering if anyone was running water meth. I tow a stock trailer and a 20' gooseneck every now and then. Because i want to run it on my truck but I'm still unsure how it works.

How does it work. Is it always on or does it only inject when you have a certain amount of boost

It depends on the kit you buy... I recommend coolingmist as will most others who know. The best water injection systems on the market.

Beyond that, most inject based on boost.

It is not, and should not be looked at as a HP mod. Its is a great way to cool EGT's and should be used as such.

What do you mean by don't use it as a HP boost? Does it not add that much power to these? I have a couple buddies that have water meth on their Mini and A4 and it seems to give them a good bit of power. Does it harm components on these engines? I've heard it can get in the boots and make them slippery and they might come off but what else other than that? I was thinking of getting the snow performance one btw

If you want a seat in the pants power feel go nitrous, water injection adds minor hp but nothing you'll actually notice. BUT if you get some mega nozzles and inject methanol you may feel some difference. I've not gone that route with mine...yet, I need reliability, so I inject washer fluid.

I don't want to go crazy with nitrous or anything i just want a little more power without losing a lot of reliability. Does it help with mpgs? One of my friends has his 6.4 set up somehow to where he uses it as a fuel supplement and gets way better mpgs. Not sure how that works though.
I've got a tuner (Hydra) on the way that my dad got me for my bday and I've deleted the muffler/cat and just put a 4 gauge pillar that my girl got me for my bday in. So idk what to do next with about $400 to spend from my moms side for my bday so can't do anything like injectors or turbo stuff.

Just keep that 400 for a rainy day. You'll be happy with the hydra, (as many are). Then after a few weeks, and the novelty wears off...reconsider that 400

Actually, re reading your post....go buy yourself a 4" turbo back exhaust from diamond eye. Around 230 shipped. Too off with diesel, and go out to eat. Should take care of that 400
