T500

I have done some searching but can't find what I'm looking for. Does anyone have numbers on how much more a T 500 HPOP flows above stock 17* I have a 15* (e99) Do the build them all the same? Does it matter if I send them A 15?. I can't seem to find any % over stock flow rates? Thanks in advance.

I don't know that I've seen the numbers you are looking for. I do know a couple of E99 guys that have gone to a T500 and have been more than satisfied. I have a friend locally who is on another forum with an E99 with 350K+ that he's owned since new. He saw a 2mpg increase with the T500. Your results may vary.

Thanks, I have read a few posts and everything seems satisfied. I am going for an injector upgrade and some are more oil hungry than others. I read a post or two saying not to bother upgrading to a 17* and to go with the T500. I don't think I need big oil but was more curious if say I went to an AD injector if it would keep up. I mostly tow a 35ft 5th and other toys and want more power but don't want to have to upgrade everything for few more ponies. If there is anyone who wants to tell me what has worked for them for this application I am more than interested. Thanks

If you are doing any injector upgrades, upgrade the hpop. Even if you upgrade to L99-03 inj's you will need to atleast upgrade to the later hpop. The E99's are restricted in so many areas. Get later inj's& hpop, exh, cai& a php hydra& you will be very happy.

I would love to do everyone of those, I have been researching for months and like what you suggest. Reality bites and only so much money right now, with 290+K on the tranny I think I should visit JW first and do the others as cash permits. Even with its limitations it has been an awesome rig, wouldn't even think of trading or selling. Thanks for the input

Getting the stock late model HPOP and AD injectors is a complete waste of money. You will hardly notice the power gains from that.

They don't care if you send in an E99 HPOP or L99 to be made into a T500.

E99 HPOP can run AD injectors just fine. Mine does and still easily maintains 2900-3000psi with a relatively low duty cycle. But again putting AD injectors in looking for more power you will be extremely disappointed.

If you just want a bit more power some tunes should be in your future. If you want to get above 350hp you need to spend more

Ty. And before somebody asks. I'm running AD injectors in my truck because Rosewood has my AB's. They have 1/4 the mileage these AD's do so I sent them in

Thanks that is exactly the type of info I'm looking for. I don't need a ton of HP, 300+- would be nice, just a bit more pull up mountain grades. Tunes are planned on, sure like the sounds of the Hydra setup. Lots more investigating to do. Seems that's the problem with the web stuff, I understand, they don't make money without sales.

Yeah like... You will see a bit of gain from a T500 bit it really isn't going to be worth it on its own, unless your HPOP isn't maintaining pressure then it makes more sense to get the T500 over a stock replacement.

If your injectors and HPOP are healthy some tunes will make you happy for towing. Being an E99 get Tony wildman tunes. He does some great E99 tuning for the trans.( he sells the Hydra too)
