IDM Mod

I just did the IDM Mod today and the truck seems to build boost a little quicker and have better throttle response. Also I am now seeing just about 30psi of boost. The IDM I used was from a friend of mine and it is a IDM 100 out of an obs truck. Is this ok? Do I have anything to be worried about. I still have my stock IDM so I can swap back if I want to within the next couple of days. Thanks for any info.

I'm scared to soder. Is it worth it? This mod hard?

Old Truck: 00 F350 XLT DRW: basic first few mods. S&B, 4" straight pipe, gauges, CCV, EBPV and Wastegate line deletes, LED Sills, sweet custom headlights, smoked cab lights, Ventshades, Tint.
Traded in at 196k miles.

"Brand Newish" Truck: 02 Chevy S10 2.2L 5sp. Reg cab 4x2. Badass custom made shifter, foglights, 20% tint, AVS Vent-shades, Stock Intake mods, Electric Fan conversion .
~ 95k miles.

What is an IDM mod, ive searched and cant find anything on it, also was looking for the ccv mod....im a tard sorry

oh I'm scared to solder too!! One of my friends does a lot of these and he just gave me one to pop in and try out. It seems to make a difference and I would say to do it. Only thing is it's sorta a PITA to swap the IDM itself but really not that bad. Took us just under an hour. Where are you from? Maybe I could get my friend to do yours for you of swap yours for a nodded one with him? PM me.

alright guys. All I know about it is it ups like the amps going to the injectors from 120(on a superduty) up to 140. This making the injectors fire better and open longer. someone who knows more than I do should chime in soon. (I'm new to this stuff too)

The IDM Mod increases the voltage to the injectors from 110v (in most cases) to 140 volts. This allows the injectors to fire faster. It is a great mod to do no matter what type of mods you have had done or will do later. IDM Mod is worth every penny, if your afraid to do it yourself you can send out your IDM to a number of shops and they will do it for you. Beans, Swamps, DI, ITP ...just to name a few
