Anyone with an EDGE INSIGHT CTS??

So I am thinking about buying and edge insight cts. I am wondering what the Edge Insight will monitor straight out of the box? I thought that the CTS would monitor pretty much everything I need until i seen the optional expandable egt probes... Will I need these in order to read my egts? And are any add-ons recommended? i have a 2000 f250 7.3... thanks. Oh and I have a PHP chip, dont know if that matters.

I use an Edge Insight CS on my late 99 7.3. It is abought the same as the CTS except for the touch screen and the ability to connect a backup camera. It will monitor just about everything that you will need except for EGT - you will need the EGT probe. The probe is very easy to install with the included instructions. It uses all of the existing ECM monitoring sensors for everything else. I use it to monitor EGT, trans temp, oil temp, exhaust back pressure, turbo boost, ICP and IPR. The total package will cost about the same as external guages, but offers many additional benefits. It works great and I am very happy with the monitor.

If you are trying to save a bit of money, look at the CS rather than the CTS. I have mine set to monitor 8 different parameters at once and display them as numbers. If you display as gauges, you don't get to see as many parameters at once. The only difference in function is that it is not a touch screen and you can't connect a backup camera. The CS is usually about $100 less than the CTS.
