Hey Crazy what year is your 7.3? I have a 99 7.3 that I put a TS Performance chip on. www.TSperformance.com It's 425 bucks, adjustable in cab via a knob, programmable with 6 settings out of 8 choices...which are anti-theft, high idle, valet limit to 70mph, stock hp, 50, 75, 100, 140hp. The 140 horse setting blows a lot of smoke for a chip and stock injectors. I'm going to try to get some pictures this coming thurday of how much smoke my truck blows since it's going to be a warm sunny day for once. They also have some customer truck's pictures on there and a few are blowing smoke...so you can see what you'll get. And since you have the manual it should handle every bit of the power versus my automatic which probably needs some upgrades to efficiently get all of the power out of the 140...

Talking power and smoke

Hey Adam, I know a cheaper way to make lots of smoke. Duct tape half your air filter off. I need to get you and my son together. Your the same age and everything i modify, he ask's if will make more smoke. He recently pulled a smoke screen on his Mom and I. He took one of our dump trucks to the Cat house and it came back 100hp higher!! He told me it will get so much better fuel mileage. Who's he kid'n. I pay the bill's

If you duct tape half your filter off you're liable to suck it right into the intake.

Well I always knew a good way to get smoke was to restrict the amount of air the engine can get. I just didn't think i'd have to go as far as duct taping the filter to get it to work! Ha! Maybe i'll do it one time for poops and giggles. And I have some really strong duct tape in the garage :-)

Talking Holy smokes

Well, I found out about the restriction on my youngest sons truck. His blew alot of smoke but it was a turd. He was changing the oil at my house and I ask him what air filter he was running. He said he never check it. Mechanics kids, what can i say? His truck had the worst K&N I have ever seen. I had a recharge kit and I used all of the cleaner in the laundry tub to get it clean again. Stroker, the pics I sent you of my intake cam from that project. This was a Texas truck and had fine red dirt impacted everywhere on the truck. But the dusting was scary. We pulled the air charge unit and all the tubing for a chemical flush. There was tons of crap that ran out on the driveway. The power increase was fantastic. Cut the smok'n in half from the exhaust but he gained it back in the tires. Glad he's buying them!!!!!

My truflow filter is pretty bad at this point. I'm just leaving it in. I'm gonna get the AFE in a month or two so why waste the stinkin money on a re-oil!!
