injector question....some help please
i run a 2000psd all mods listed in my sig. but i was looking for a little more kick out of it with the 40's i run. i was thinking of droping in some bigger injectors but thats it. maybe some stage 2 hybrids or somethin. didnt wanna do the whole 9 yards with studs and fuel system. any opinions that poeple have or know would help alot. thx.

I have stage 3 230cc hybrids, I like them im having some issues right now im working with the Mechanic to figure it out, however i was very impressed with them. make sure you have Forged Rods. not sure what month they switched in 2000 but mid years if im not mistaken they changed to PMR's

How about looking into upgrading your HPOP?

i did not wanna change nothing exept for injectors and reburn the chip for them, and was just see'ing if stage 2 hybrids would be fine for just the extra kick to pull my big *** truck or if they would be to much and just go with some stage 1's.

With the DP tuner & bigger injectors, an upgraded HPOP would be essential. You'd need something to deliver the fuel pressure you need for your fueling demands.

With hybrids you should be able to use your stock HPOP. An upgraded one will always help, but its not necessary.

you wont need an bigger HPOP with Hybrids they are a single shot injector they are a bit noisier then the spit shots though. you will need custom tuning for them though.

Driximus did you swap out for forged rods with those stage 3's and the BB. I have been looking to upgrade to stage 2 single shots in the future and was under the impression that a stock pump can run them fine.

I did injectors, turbo, then i turned the PMR'S to powder via the side of the block. decimated 4 of the rods and i was in the lowest tune i had barely throttling on it. then I got an early 2000 motor with rods put my injectors, turbo, and the electrical system from the 02 to the 00. I never have once popped a 1211 code with the stages 3s on the stock HPOP from 02 motor or the 00 motor. however i could pop the code on my stock injectors with the just the DP tuner.
I should of done the rods first maybe i might have a BTS tranny right now to go with the setup. |

What kind of HP where you putting out when the rods went. I want to go with DP or TW and injectors and leave the stock turbo untill it goes. Do you think I will be playing with fire.
