mileage with Tw chip
I would like to know who is running tony's eco tune and what kind of mileage you are seeing with it. I know Jody's eco tune is pretty good, but i am trying to compare the 2 custom tune makers. i like the idea of th tw cause he will re-burn it for free, but i like the switch better for the DP. So how do you guys like the tw for mileage?

honestly the biggest factor in MPG is your right foot... their are many things that can factor into someone getting more MPG than the next person... things like
2wd or 4wd filters crew cab, extended cab, short bed, long bed lift, tire size i could go on but you get my point.... i only see better MPG gain in econo when on the highway... but my truck is also very high, larger tires, and geared lower.... -Raul |

well i opted go to with the daily instead of the eco. tune, however with my set-up that i have, the best i've done so far is 19.2 mpg, i only drive about 10 miles of interstate, and the rest is usually some highway and mostly country roads

why did you opt for daily over eco?

because i was told the guys on the org. that there wasn't a difference between daily/eco setting. and most of the guys who had both said that daily was better than eco, so i took their word for it

i just figured that they knew what they were talking about, and i didn't want to second guess any of them, but i'm still happy with what i get, and even on my first tank i got over 18 mpg, and i played
allot

i know what you mean, i saved up all summer to get my gauges, and chip alll at once from raul, and now that i can play, i need to put in a new heater-core pretty darn quick, no more play for me and now need to save before winter, it gets cold here in Illinois

ya I feel you. I bought a "fixer upper" and it seems like the fixing is never up! but I got a ts with Tonys tunes on it. I agree with Raul on this one. if a chip is giving you 80 more hp on its "econo" tune,,, well lets just say its not neccesarrily going to give you more fuel econ. I will be honest with you, my fuel econ went down significanly from stock. or from having the edge crap on my truck which basically is a super glorified set of digital gauges. My Tony tunes are pretty serious. If you wanna haul some butt, get them. just leave one of the settings on the chip stock. but trust me, you will never drive it on stock again unless your towing something really heavy, you just wont.
