Please Explain This For My Dad
Im in the process of talking my dad into purchasing a TW chip. Ive told him 100 times that its the best chip out for the 7.3 for many reasons and that you guys know what yall are talking about! He seems to think that as soon as i put the chip in his truck is just gonna fall apart..what he calls the ripple effect..first this, then that. I know he will be needing all the supporting mods (Intake, Gauges, Exhuast, Valve Body) Can someone please explain all the benefits to having this chip

Ok for one you will not need a valvebody.
The result of the chip is 1. Better fuel economy 2. Better Performance 3. Over all a better running engine If you run a chip you do need at least gauges. It really is your decission for getting an intake and exhaust. But those are not really needed to run the chip. The gauges allow you to monitor how your engine is running. They let you see your exhaust gas temp, boost, trans temp, and if you want you can add even more gauges. Now I have been running my chip since I had about 90,000 miles on my truck. So that is 83,000 miles on my truck with the chip. What problems have I had, transmission was the first. But with a solid rebuild I have not had any problems. I had one injector fail around 172,000 miles but that could have happened even with out the chip. |

I know i dont NEED a valve body but i want to prolong the life of the tranny as long as possible. is the VB not beneficial in any way?

the chip is just a gate way mod...
Its worth the mpg increase alone, not to add the wake up your truck gets. |

I heard it was sniper tuning? but i think tw and Dp are just a toss up, both good tuners
