trans temp gauge

i got a set of isspro gauges and the trans temp sending unit is larger than what i see everyone else running. i saw on another thread about putting the sending unit in place of the bolt above the pan, infront of the gear selector. well mine the sending unit is essentually a bolt with a 3/4" head on it there for it wont fit in the bolt hole. can i order a smaller one from somewhere that will fit this hole? i have a mag-hytec pan and that has the small 1/8" (or whatever size it is) hole for the sending unit as well. what you do you guys recomend?

thanks,
Jon

Send a message via AIM to Stroked7.3
If yolu cant order one anywhere you may just have to tap the pan for that 3/4" bolt.

I have a 6.0 but it looks like the same install. I got mine from Diesel Manor and they gave me a complete set of step up/downs for the intall. Try and give them a call.

You got the wrong gauge!! Isspro's makes a trans temp gauge that screws right into the pressure port on the side of the trans. CHECK YOUR PM's.

you can get a compression fittings thats a t and cut your hot line going in to the trans cooler. thats the best way...well for dodges. i had it in the front servo port and that wasnt too good, i found out later it could damage the servo and fluid dont always flow through there like in reverse and 1 and 2 gear. it didnt give me a accurate reading.

Contact who you got the gauge from, and get the smaller sender.
