walbro pump,sump and prepump filter

I have the driven diesel prepump filter setup. its a water/air separation, harpoon mod. im currently running a walbro pump. Id like to set up a sump, running it to the filter system then the pump.

would this work? is there any issues that would pop up using this method?

Why do you want to run a sump?

Beyond that... I would keep a spare fuel pump on hand running that Walbro. Went thru 6 of them before I went back to a Bosch pump.

Before you talk a hole saw to the bottom of your tank... Wait a little longer.

guess I'm lucky. Same walbro for 70k. Now it will die since I bragged. I've got a fuel lab from a Subaru build thst make take its place.same model strictly/xdp ext sells
The reason for the sump is that last little bit of fuel and maybe the diesel thieves will cut the line instead of a hole in my tank. I'm on my thrice
