99 F-350 Muffler ??

Hi im new to the forums and found them while searching google. I have a 1999 Ford F-350 not a dually. I want to put something on it to make it sound good. Loud and deep roar is wat i am looking for. I looked at just Strait pipe but i do have to get this thing inspected and dont feel like being stopped by the cops all the time over how loud it is. So i am looking for a muffler for it to replace the stock muffler. I need something that does not cost a fortune i would like to keep it 200 and under. What muffler would yall recommend me look at. I need something legal and with a good sound.

BTM is a good choice.

I would look at magna flow, Flow Master, both are good and legal in all 50 states.

99 didn't have a cat. You can find all sorts of mufflers for under 200. Alot of times you can find new ones here on the org that someone just didn't put on there truck for under 100. I got mine for free. Just ask around. Mbrp, Magnaflow, aeroturbine, silverline, diamond eye, farm boy diesel, banks, and grand rock all have mufflers for 200 and under. welcome to the org

Walker BTM for $45, great muffler, and between it and my Ford AIS intake my EGT's dropped 100-150 degrees. The factory muffler is ajoke and should have never of been used. It necks down a 3.5 exhaust to 2.5" and then throws it through an offset flow. Back pressure is good on a gasser but not on a diesel!! The BTM isn't really any louder over stock, you will notice a flutter type sound when driving through a tunnel or by a long tall wall. A diesel isn't going to sound like a big block with cam and headers!! I love the way mine sounds!!
