PHP hydra vs SCT

I am running preloaded tunes on SCT 3015 currently. Is it better to upgrade to PHP hydra? I am set on hydra chip, but I like to know the performance difference on the tunes. I understand SCT is not shift on the fly.

I feel like I will be spending money to notice a minor difference in performance. Thank you

With the Hydra you can load anyone's tunes on it, and even with the base tunes that come with it from PHP, they are somewhat "custom" to your truck.

IMHO... Dont change unless you want to for the shift on the fly. You will not see that big of a difference. Shifting will be better, smoke control and such, but power wise I doubt you will notice it.

This is a relief! Now I don't have to spend money ATM. Thank you very much for an unbias response.

We can write you a custom tune for your SCT if you would like. That way you can try out our tunes on your truck without purchasing a chip.

As Joe mentioned, with a chip you do get better control of the transmission attributes.

Your are not making this easy on me. But for a little more money, the Hydra chip is a better deal. I'll be going this route when I get my transmission valve body in a couple of month.
