I'm also gonna throw out the phoenix chip by power hungry performance if funds are tight because his custom tuned chips are pretty cheap.

When I first got my tune I tried the street tune, but it made my truck act weird and didn't feel like very much power, my truck runs great on the tow tune, but I just wondered if there was another company that makes tunes that could be more fun on a tow tune?? Thanks guys...

The generic tunes do little more than advance timing and increase FP, but DP's tunes address so many parameters it isn't even funny. I have pulled some knarly steep hills in the Blue Ridge toting my TT and I have never had to back out of my skinny pedal due to high EGT's. I love towing with my truck!! EGT control comes from proper air flow and good tunes, you have to have all of them to be able to have usable ponies!!

DMB this thread is about 7.3 tunes. If you are looking for awesome 6.0 tunes look at innovative diesel.

Kevin, Bill at Powerhungry is also a very good tuner ranks right up there with Jody and Tony

you need gauges first.... why even risk doing some major damage to your engine ....

if you cant afford to get both get the gauges first then buy the chip....

Gauges first It is always a good idea to base line youre truck by monitoring how it runs stock. Than any mods you do you will see and feel what they are doing. Some tunes can put your EGTs thru the roof real fast but you will never know untile WHITE SMOKE. Ask anybody white smoke means way more $$$$$$$ than the guages would have costed you.

LOL, I'm running TW tunes without gauges, and I wouldn't recommend it. Gauges are coming VERY soon.
