Power Numbers Out Of These Mods

Was wondering what kind power i would gain by adding a itp diesel fuel system cooling mist stage 2 stage 2 egts and a 6.0 intercooler.... Hope i don't have 2 stud the head or throw a rod thru the oil pan. Lol what what do u think power gains by doing that just ballpark them. My mods are in my sig...

I'd say little to no power increase with those mods. All those mods are more "supporting" mods rather than "power" mods. ITP fuel system is a good upgrade, but probably won't give you any real hp increase. With the cooling mist system, unless you run meth with the water, the water will only cool your motor, not make it more powerful. And the intercooler will help the EGT's when towing, but no power gain.

Like I said, these are more supporting mods to other things than stand alone power mods.

What is the purpose of an intercooler if not to provide cooler, denser air to the combustion chamber? That should provide a performance boost for sure, if the 6.0's 'cooler is larger than the one on his 7.3...am I missing something?

The intercooler might give a little boost in power, but it's not like it's good for 30hp. Yes cooler and denser air to the motor is better, but air don't make power like fuel does!

Ya was planning on running methnol not any more then 50/50 if even that much maybe about 25-40 percent methnol. Beening heering people say that the motor might start knocking with 50/50.

just think of it as if you do more supporting mods, you can throw more power at it, and get power that way, but with pmr's, id be happy with what youve got

I don't understand how that would throw a rod. I mean that doing more cooling not raising the temps on the engine. throw a rod because u get 2 much compression or engine gets 2 hot.

Adding methanol to the mix also increases the timing, too much timing doesn't mix well with powered metal rods.

40% Meth will give you about 40-50hp on the dyno. I ran this type of set up for 80k without issue.

Intercooler will not add HP unless you were having EGT issues to begin with. The 6.0 IC is not a big enough up size to make a huge differance

not going to need studs or blow a motor at that level.

no, i meant because i said, with more supporting mods, you can throw more power at it down the road, and when you start thinking about big power, you start thinking about buying some rods, but your already pushing it with big injectors and big turbo i think
