Can anybody tell me the pro's and con's to hybrids vs Split shot injectors? I want to upgrade to a bigger injectors but don't want to have to change out the hpop.

You don't want split shots since you'll have to change the programing since I believe your early 99 has single shots.
Also, you could maybe get a small set of hybrids and won't have to worry about your HPOP but the hpop is NOT that hard to change out to a 17* pump. |

?
I thought That OBS Powerstrokes Had Single Shots and 99-03 7.3's Had Split Shot And That Early 99's Flowed a little bit less fuel than late 99

See I thought that the early 99's had 120cc single shots. If I'm wrong then I apologize.

After a quick search, I am wrong. Early 99's had splits.
Anything much bigger in a split though on that 15* hpop is going to fall on its face. |

Hybrids will be good if you have the supporting mods such as turbo/tranny upgrades. Otherwise you should look at a stage 1 single shot 160cc and you should be ok. They should run you around $1300-ish for stage 1 |

Wonder whats the smallest sized hybrid you can get?

You should have a 17* pump so singles will work fine and you should see a incress in MPG. Pumps are very easy to change if its needed.

530 P&B into a stock AA would be right around 135cc or so...
Early '99 had AB @ 120 - 130cc or so, then AD's from late '99 - '03 @ 140cc. The 'regular' 230cc hybrids don't use any more oil than the AD's. Actually the 230's use less, the 250's use the same as the AD's. I keep my Hybrids at 230cc (unless requested otherwise) to keep oil volume required down a tad, thus keeping oil psi up a tad. Someday I'd love to dyno a 230cc vs 250cc Hybrid on the same oem 17* pump to see how they actually perform.

I'll send you my AD's and I will run the 230's you sent me, and then run my old AD's at 250-300cc range in the same setup.
