TW questions

Hi guys, I'm wanting to know about the TW chips. I have a 02 powerstroke with an intake and a 4" turbo back. I've run my buddy's edge programmer and decided that I needed something so I found a deal on a superchip flashpaq and bought it. I've had it for two weeks now and it's getting sent back, nothing compared to edge. It seems on this website and from a few other guys I've talked to that TW is the way to go but my question is about the check engine lights thrown with the Edge programmer. With it I could just delete them and be done, does the TW chip just delete those to start with so I dont have to worry about it or do I have to another programmer to delete them when they come on? Also, does the TW chip stiffen up the throttle like the Edge did? Thanks for your help guys

That CEL is due to overboost. You need to buy a boostfooler. Stealth-automotive.com sells the chip and the fooler. I'm sure Raul will chime in soon enough though.

Also, I was looking at the different settings to choose from for the TW chips. What are the exact hp ratings for each setting? Thanks a lot for your help guys

I love my TW! You can make your own boost fooler with a simple pressure regulator from Lowe's or Home Depot. The same kind you find on your compressor to adjust the pressure for different tools.

I don't get a CEL, I get a SES (Service Engine Soon) light as a result of my TW wanting more fuel than my pump can supply. It is a soft code and goes out by itself. My Autoenginuity indicated the above mentioned fuel delivery problem. These mods can be a never ending see-saw. I am very happy with the TW!

lol im here... been out of the office all day....

the TW chip is night and day diff from that generic edge product....

the chip can be changed on the fly and the trans tuning is way better then the edge tuning....

you will not regret going with the TW chip....

you do need gauges though.. i didnt see that you had those yet...

and the SES light is normal... so is the overboost code.... no chip will be able to turn these off....

please let me know if you have any further questions.... here is a link to the TW chip and the TW/gauge combo

TW does not give HP#. Most of the HP# are very inflated by other tuners. TW tunes are custom to get the most out of youre truck and mods henc custom tuning. The Edge you talked about will be gone when youre buddy rides in youre rig.

He will suggest a number on the telephone if you talk with him. I believe I remember him telling me that my Street tune will get me an additional 80 HP. That's pretty much what the dyno indicated. Everyone's HP increase will vary depending on all of the other variables that occur under your hood.

What do you mean?

I believe all your other questions were answered and the comments were well said. FYI, TDP has a money back on the chip if you don't like it.
