Question about intercooler

Can you out the 6.0 intercooler on the 7.3? I have see a couple people with it in the sigs. Also what is the best water meth injection system for a 99.5 7.3?

Yes you can put the 6.0 cooler on the 7.3L. Some applications require you change the fittings on the tranny cooler lines to make it fit in. The 6.0 cooler is better than the stock 7.3L, but if you after big drops in EGT's the DIIC, HYPERMAX or Spearco is the way to go. Much better drops in EGT - but they cost $.

Changing to the 6.0 IC was very popular when the 6.0 came out, but it was quickly realized the slight drop in EGT's surely wasn't worth the cost of the unit. The Spearco is a much better unit. Snow's makes a nice water/meth system and they have been run on the 7.3 for ages!! EGT's are controlled with good airflow and proper tunning. Looks like you have the airflow taken care of as well as tunes, I am surprised you are having issues with EGT's. What temps are you seeing and in what enviorments and loads?

I found my 6.0 IC for $120 bucks shipped on Ebay it was worth it for that kind of money verus $1300 for a Spearco give or take

Skip the 6.0 if you ever plan on more then stage 2 injectors... Not going to help enough...

no im not worried about EGTs i just saw alot of people with with them.
