I am pretty sure Nitrous is better then methanol. Nitrous isn't a fuel while Methanol is and it will advance timing...

it really depends on what you want as an end result. meth will not give you any thing near the HP nitro will but its incredibly safe and able to keep EGT's under control

Nitrous on the other hand will give you more HP than you know what to do with but you run the risk of destroying something.

Nitrous is good for the track but not the hiway, where as Meth is great for trips and towing.

Nitrous is like turbo in a bottle. It will help your motor burn the fuel that would normally be going right out the tailpipe. Meth can advance your timing and launch rods like propane has been know to do. Water/meth setups are particularly good for people looking to cool things off for towing or whatever, but nitrous will help burn the extra fuel that the turbo cant, and will give you a considerable power gain fairly safely.

Question about your experiances. One of the mags. said that methonal will increase egts and straight water is what will lower egts. True from experiance?

Injecting water will cool your EGT's. Injecting meth and water together in a determined ratio will typically increase power some and cool your EGT's all at the same time. Straight water is the safest no question, but no power gains. Meth is for power and braking stuff. How many times have I see people post about running too much meth and all of a sudden having melted pistons and vented blocks. I'll never run meth or propane in my truck, ever. Water and nitrous are a different story.
