Banks Power Pack

My truck has the Banks Power Pack on it. What is your guys opinion of it? I have looked around and it seams alot of people dont like banks. Why not. Also does anyone know anything about the Otto Mind Programer that is included in the kit. Is it a good programer? I just want to make sure it isnt going to blow up the motor. I put it to pull my trailer. The trailer is a 5th wheel camper that weighs about 11000-12000 depending on how much stuff i have in it.

i would say it is a good kit minus a few items.

the flat filter it comes with sucks, the trans command is hard on your trans, and the banks tuning isnt that great either.
other than that the rest of the kit is good parts.

so i would say get a new/better filter setup, 6637 diy, s&b, afe, AIS.

and you can kill two birds with one stone by getting a custom tuned chip that takes care of the tuning and trans management.

you can probably sell the trans-command and ottomind programmer and buy a chip.

banks makes some good pieces, their prices are just ridiculous

I got the afe stage 2 with the dry filter A few weeks ago. Soon as I stated reading about K&n I got rid of that.

From what I can tell from reading the hydra is a good chip/tuner. Is that right? I have never had a chip in any vehicle I have owned except the Otto mind that came in the Kit. So I'm not sure what to look for or what questions to ask. I would like to eventually get a bts Trans and maybe a little more power additions down the road so one I can reflash. With custom tunes do you just tell them what mods you have done and they tune it for your truck.

ya you fill out a form and they tune it to your mods. banks tuning is crappy compared to any custom tunes.
the hydra is good, it has pretty high recommendations lately.
or gearhead or no limit tuning and design.

dont forget to remove the trans-command, might have issues between the chip and trans command.

and the AFE stage 2 is probably the best intake for these trucks
