in the MANIFOLD!!
|

|
yeah, manifold for sure

mine is in the down pipe and it works good you just have to remember that temps can drop a couple hundred degrees from the manifold.
manifold is definately better but down pipe is alot better than nothing. i plan on putting mine in the manifold if i ever end up taking it off, for now the down pipe works. |

Put it in the manifold and there is no guesswork...

Maniflod all the way. FYI you don't have to take it off.

i'm having an exhaust shop weld basically a nut on the manifold so i can screw the probe into the nut so i can make sure it will be tight
|

you dont have to weld a nut... just drill and tap the hole.... this is the way everyone does it and i have never heard of any problem ...
dont let them convince you that you need a nut welded... |

I wasn't sure if the manifold was strong enough to keep a probe from rattling out

Yeah mine is drilled and tapped and there is no way it is going to move. Manifold for sure.
