save yourself about $2500 and buy a Garrett 38R, then you have $2500 to spend on other upgrades like big oil..

tell me how many Garrett BB catridges u have heard that had to be replaced??? There are 1000s of these turbos on the road with a very good reputation. Everyone talks about how much it costs to rebuild it, maybe $850. But i dont think u would have to worry about it. so to me worrying about a turbo being rebuilt is lame, because at one point u MIGHT have to do it with ANY turbo!

Do either of you have experience with the 71mm, if so how does it compare to the 38r?
