EGT probe: where install, any pics
going to get my egt probe installed at the exhaust shop, where should they weld the bung in?

Why are you welding a bung in? You drill, tap, and they screw directly into the exhaust manifold.

If it goes bad it will suck to remove

Drill and Tap the Manifold....The Pre and Post Turbo Wars were over a LONG time ago LOL
![]() Pre-Turbo should allways be done ![]() You can count on over a 300*+ Difference in Pre and Post Turbo Temps...plus the temp before the turbo is more accurate and fluctuates faster to let you know to back off the Fuel

yah dont take it to the exhaust shop.. it has to be pre turbo so like everyone else said drill and tap your exhaust manifold

Do a search on EGT probe or pyrometer; there was a thread on here a while back showing an installed picture.

Cool thanks, on my car the EGT was welding into the Header Collector...sorry, just getting used to these Turbos.
