block question

Something happened to my bottom end and my blocks cracked. Still runs but has a miss. I'm gonna rebuild it myself. My question is are all the 7.3 powerstroke blocks the same or do I need a 99-03 block? The specs for my truck are in the sig at the bottom

All the blocks are more or less the same. 94.5 blocks have some slight differences but nothing to worry about.

I would look for a 96-97 block and go from there.

How do you know the block is cracked?

Ok thanks. With it running lay under it look up on driver side and see a 2 inch crack dripping oil back by the flywheel housing.
