Edge Juice and Built Trans question

I picked up a 2000 SD 7.3 with auto last year. The truck has an edge juice/att, straight exhaust, and trans with monster box internals. After getting on this site and reading what some say about the edge juice I had the fear of the world crashing down on me so I disconnected it about 2 months after picking truck up.

I've been planning on getting the beans chip and just calling it a day,,, well, like many things thats just been talk in my head. I cant give details of what was beefed up in the trans from monster box but it was in the $4k range of upgrades (labour incl). Question is knowing that most people say the trans cant hold up with the edge juice but mine should be fairly strong over stock, knowing that I'm likley not going to throw more than setting 2, or maybe 3 at it, to haul my sleds and cars in an enclosed trailer, how uncomfortable should I feel plugging it back in? Still all in truck I just have to plug it all back in so I'll be the first to admit that its just the easy route,,,, maybe?

Thanks

I wouldn't risk it.
A few hundred for a decent chip is a lot better than $4000 or more to do the tranny again in a year

Lots of money spent at RiffRaff

Still pretty slow, just less slow now.

I actually know someone who had a edge juice with attitude on his early 99 for about 2 years and never had a problem. But yet you have the people who plug it in 2 days later their trans goes. The person I trust a lot is Wally from FTE Diesel in Cleveland (somewhat local) I talked to him about that and he said the tuning is "stale", ts is the best, actually it HELPS your transmission by increasing transmission line pressure, making shift points better.

I got the Edge tuner I have had the truck for almost a year and go from #3 to #5 all the time truck runs like a champ I just have to watch the EGT when it is set on #5. But day to day I have it set on #3 no issues.
