7.3L Intercooler Boots

My intercooler boots are leaking and I saw some prices on them around $150. There has to be some cheaper ones, I cant see spending $150 on something it cost someone $5 to make. Thanks for any help!

well if you know where to get the materials make them yourself.
save yourself some money.
i bought riffraffs boots, they were around 150 for all of them.

i know they have to be oil resistant, heat resistant to like 400 degrees, and be strong enough to hold atleast 50 psi of boost.

Are you sure you don't just need to clean them off and re torque the clamps down?

I mean ill try but there is a reason they are dirty from the beginning, but none of them are really loose...

They all get dirty over time... oil from the intake will eventually seep out of any of the boots.

So will the 150$ ones if not cleaned for 5 years.

If you clean the stock ones yearly they won't leak anymore. Provided they are still in reasonable shape.

I had to scrape off caked on oil at the intake spider on both sides 1/4" thick in some spots. I cleaned everything and retorqued. 1 year later they were still spotless.

Look it up if you don't believe me I'm trying to save you 150$. Unless yours are deformed or split just clean them good and put back on.
