HPOP

I know that 94-97 psd use a 15* HPOP and a 99-03 use a 17* hpop. Does any body have any idea what a Navistar 7.3 hpop is?

Either 15* or 17*. You'll need to get the part number and research it. And even then, it could be wrong. There are 15* old cores that have been rebuilt to 17* standards.

Also, it is not uncommon to buy a HPOP at Ford or IH for a older powerstroke that is a 17* pump. My local Ford dealer buys pumps from my local IH dealer and adds $250 bucks. At the IH dealer, there is a kid who is very eager to learn new things.. so I had him run the numbers for around 10 7.3 serial number I came up with over many years (96-03).

They had different part numbers, but they all referred BACK to a NEW part number. I bought the pump out of curiosity, and took it home.

When I opened it up, NO ball bearings. I had a spare 17* pump to put on my shelf.

How much was it at the IH dealer?

300 or so.

Plus core. They don't care about condition, as long as it's a 7.3 hpop.

This does not mean they are all like that. Pulling the rear plate and checking is ALWAYS a good idea.

Dirk, I guess you want a HARLEY so badd,,,, you painted your Ricer with the "traditional HD" Colors? Oh well, maybe one of these days huh?

Oh the HPOPs there Smoking95, check out the new Stealths, the Stage I will do any injector you want, But being a single shot truck, a good 17* may suffice too I guess.

You're right. I guess Honda has never put out a orange and black color scheme.

But if I wanted a POS, I would have bought a H-D and spent less money. Nice hijack.

sorry for the hijack but look its a factory orange and black honda

So if I changed to these plastics, since this is the exact same bike as mine, would that mean I want a Harley too?
