PHP hydra programming question

Howdy! Long time Ford truck owner, first time powerstroke owner here. I bought a 2003 7.3 ccsb 4x4 lariat with 160,000 miles a few weeks ago. So far I have added a 4 inch mbrp turbo back exhaust, high flow turbo outlet, ebpv delete, a ford AIS intake, and gauges. I have spent the last few weeks crawling all over the forums learning as much as possible, and I've had fun doing it! I'm ready to order a chip for this truck, just when I'm about to pull the trigger on one I read about something "better". First i thought the TS was it, then I read DP was the one to get....but now it looks like the php hydra is the latest and greatest. Do y'all agree? What is really making me want the hydra is from what I have read it has the best transmission strategies, and is easier on transmissions than most. From what I understand the chip is sent blank and you load up to 17 tunes on it, is their software easy to use and user friendly? I ask this because in the past I have had a heck of a time trying to load tunes onto my sct live wire and ended up having to call sct directly to be walked through their software confusing software. Sorry for the long winded post. Thanks!!

Absolutely beautiful truck man. I've been digging around trying to find the best chip as well, and my conclusion was the Hydra. When I have all of the supporting mods done ( Guages and exhaust are left) I will be ordering one.

Hey man nice truck. I was in the same situation when I got mine. PHP is definitely the way to go. I have the Phoenix 6 position and I love it. You will be so happy with the hydra. I may upgrade in the future. Pretty awesome to have 17 different tunes.

You will love the Hydra chip, when you find the HEX code you load whatever tunes are in your selection of tunes.

You go up to box/hex conversion in the HYDRAFLASH software and put your box in the area for the box code and hit the down key. Your direct hex conversion is available to the right. If the truck acts funny on those tunes, use the preferred HEX variation below in italics.
