whats the differnece between chips, programmer etc..

i dont know how to explain it,

but basically i want to run a TS chip, but can i run a programmer too? or should i just stick with the TS or what?
im just curious

is a programmer just a chip with a fancy screen?

whats the difference between EGT and pyrometer gauge?

a chip plugs into the pcm.
a programmer reprograms the pcm.
if you have a chip installed it overrides whatever is on the pcm.

so you only need a chip, no stacking like dodge boys.

egt and pyro are the same thing. technically its called a pyrometer but egt is easier to say.

Exactly
I'll add that not all programmers have a fancy screen either. The fancy screen in usually for gauges like an edge cts unit.
And you can buy a monitor screen that has no programming capabilities to just use as gauges. Run that with a TS style chip and you're in business.

I believe it's okay to say ****pit when your referring to a jets cabin
OP, I'd get a chip since your running a 7.3 and get custom tunes, you will not regret it!

Edit: Apparently Autoguide automatically changes the word c0ckpit ..... Oh well!
