is this a good deal and site for a TS Tuner?

so ive been looking for a tuner

im stuck between TS and PHP tuner,

they both are 6 positions switches and both about $300 bucks with sameish tunes

but i found this deal combo a TS tuner and AFE Power intake for $400, i thought it was a pretty good deal because i need a intake anyways

but ive never heard of this site and that intake normally runs
$300 alone

TS Performance Switchable 6 Position Chip - 7.3L Powerstroke

or what is a good site to buy the TS tuner from?

order the ts chip from php.

standard ts chips have tunes that are harder on your trans, less power, more smoke etc.

and im sure they give you an afe standard intake.
not the stage 2 with the large filter and battery box.

Between ts and php, you should get the php. Much better transmission characteristics from php and cleaner tunes.

Best trans characteristics are Gearhead tunes by far over PHP. I have both. Power seems to be about equal, but less smoke from Gearhead too. Plus, who knows when you'll ever get your tunes from PHP. Hopefully they are still diligently working on their customer service. PHP reburns are not free, Gearhead is, with typically a week or less turnaround.

I have that same chip just from XDP. It makes good power, but like everyone says, the trans shifts extremely hard and it's almost to the point where it is uncomfortable to drive in any setting except stock.

You mentioned Gearhead reburns are free, does that just mean I can send in my chip that I have now and get it done free of charge? And just pay shipping?

NO.

If you buy your chip from Gearhead yes...

If you buy tunes from Gearhead yes...

Not if you just send him a chip.

What he said.

Just FYI, I sent my chip I bought from PHP to Gearhead and it was, IIRC, $175 for initail burns. From now on, any additional tunes I get will be free.

That's what I figured. Still a good deal though. Probably gonna end up doing that cause I actually hate how my trans shifts right now.

I'd also consider TW custom tunes...IMO best tuner for a 7.3 and auto.

Filters..washable filters not the best, AFE1 doesn't flow so make sure if you want one that its a AFE2.

Look at a Tymar intake or a correctly made DIY if you want the best. Or get a AIS with fender sleeve.

Just because something seems to be a good deal doesn't make the best thing to get.
