Talking beans diesel 5 pos. chip problems help please!

hey guys,

okay so just to make this quick and to the point my boss has a 99 ford f350 SRW and it was stolen. this happened a while back but we did manage to find the truck and get it back. the kids stole the original programmer and computer out of the truck, originally it was an nvk3 computer well since ford doesn't offer computers for these trucks anymore we went with a refurbished one from a local computer company. this new computer is an nvk5 and ever since we installed the computer the truck has an extended crank and the new chip (which is programmed for the nvk3) does not work. the extended crank happens when the truck is cold or warm. is the computer causing the extended crank? we've also replaced the ICP sensor and it has gotten better but still takes to long to start thanks for the help guys we appreciate it!

What kind of chip? It should not care that its NVK3 or NVK5...

There is really nothing that can cause long crank just with a PCM swap.

I would suspect something else.

Get ICP pressures and duty cycles while cranking. RPM's when cranking

Miles on the truck?

its a ts-performance 6 position chip, all the values for the icp and the injection pressure regulator duty cycles are good. this problem didnt start until we put the new computer in the truck. theres only 125,000 miles or so on the truck injector's are only a couple months old.
